About Me:
Barry Blumenthal was introduced to the piano at an early age by his mother, Flora, and to jazz by his father Ted who continues to be one of his greatest influences to this day. Weaned on an eclectic mix of Chick Corea, John Coltrane, Respighi, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Delius, Bill Evans, Debussy, Bill Watrous, and a host of others that were in constant rotation on the family stereo in his childhood, Barry continues to explore new ways of combining past influences with new sounds and ideas. He’s been blessed with the opportunity to perform and/or record with many wonderful artists, including Tom “Bones” Malone, Danny D’Imperio, Bruce Johnstone, Jeff Jarvis, Bret Zvacek, Dennis Mackrel, Aretha Franklin, Gary Smulyan, Mark Copani, Nancy Kelly, the Central New York Jazz Orchestra, and is a featured soloist on the critically acclaimed CD, “The Adventures in Jazz Orchestra Celebrates Christmas,” available at cdbaby.com

Ron France, one of Syracuse's finest bassists, has an impressive background as well. He was introduced to the music scene by his father who used him in his own band as a guitarist, then later as a bassist. His Long time colaboration with Vocalist Ronnie Leigh and Keybordist Larry Arlotta, led to two grammy nominated CD's. Ron has performed and recorded with such jazz luminaries as Doc Severinson, Jeff Tyzik, Alan Vizzuti, Nancy Kelly, Cabo Frio and many others. His keen sense of musicianship has kept Ron a first call bassist for many years.

Karl Sterling first started working on the music scene with his father's band. He attended Onondaga Community College for 2 years majoring in music and studying percussion with John Barker. Karl has also studied drums with Peter Erskine, Danny D'Imperio, Joe Morello, Mike Melito, and Wilby Fletcher. Over the years, Karl has had the good fortune to play with many wonderful musicians and bands in the Syracuse, Rochester, and New York City area's including; Ronnie Leigh, Nancy Kelly, Dino Losito, Jeff Palmer, Devin Garramone, Rick Montalbano, Bob DiBaudo, John Rohde, Mark Copani, Joy Adler, Mala Waldron, Steve Salerno, Miriam Sullivan, Classified, Eye Level, Moss, Prime Time, Seaflight, Dave Hanlon's Cookbook, Rick Sheppard & "The Drifters" and many others.
