I’ve been using a TC Electonics RH450 with an SWR 12″ Bass Monitor cabinet with my upright. AWEsome sound and easy to carry.
Check out the RebelHead on the
TC Electronics website. The cabinets are fantastic, too.

Here's my Post-Standard review for E.S.P.'s "Time's Up!"
Bass player Matthew Vacanti says this about making a record: "It's never finished,; you just run out of time."
Hence the title of E.S.P.'s new collection, "Time's Up," on Vacanti's Baldwinsville label Spider Records.
Truth be told, all the elements seemed to be positioned just right in time and space. The fourth E.S.P. album has been percolating in the minds of founding E.S.P. members Vacanti and guitarist John Magnante since "Uptown Ex…

"I first met Karl Sterling when his parents brought him to a Stan Kenton Orchestra gig in upstate New York. He was a young drummer. This was 1972. Come to think of it, I was a young drummer at the time, too ... but Karl was younger! Karl's parents were justifiably proud of their son and how well he played. Some thirty five-plus years later, I'm the one who is feeling proud of how well Karl plays: proud that he stayed the course with his drumming, and proud that he matured into such a terrific dr…

When Dissertation Troubles Surrounded Me:
This is an appreciative letter to thank the people who provided pin-point and professional
dissertation help at the time when I was totally disappointed and had braced myself to meet the disaster regarding my PhD degree. It was the worst time of my life when I even thought of my dissertation disapproval.
I was busy working and handling my social life. You can say that I was hanging in bala…

Oh, how those techno-mothus machine-gun their practice sessions into long, flowing lines with no periods at the end. When such antics were administered by Bird, Stitt, 'Trane, Newk, Jaws, Griff and so many others, it was just part of the boperation. They fit in so perfectly, so needfully, but those who strive to emulate those master monsters, lose the point. Somewhere along the way (our hearts were carefree and gay), the 'Trane whistle led a whole of cats way off the tracks. It seems de rigeur t…
